Time is Flying!

Seriously, were did the week go?  Wednesday nights we put out the garbage and it feels like it was only like two days ago that we last did it!  And, it’s already March.  It’s actually almost half-way through March, did you know?  I feel like the days are going by twice as fast as they should and I’m liking it so far!

Thanks for all of the advice on the pumpkin pie filling from my post yesterday!  Everyone had great ideas and I’m still contemplating what I want to do with it.  I looked at the ingredients on the can and it unfortunately has wheat in it.  Since I’m avoiding gluten, I’m not going to eat it myself but I think I might make some sort of baked good for my family 🙂

This morning I used the new microwave for my oats and they turned out pretty good!  I like how I don’t have to wash a pot AND a bowl after breaky!

Banana Sundae Oats:

In the microwave:

1/2 cup oats

3/4 cup water

1/2 tbsp chia seeds

1/4 of a banana

Sundae Toppings:

shredded coconut (I used sweetened)

Dark Chocolate Dreams PB

1/4 of a banana

Tonight we had pasta for dinner.  It was so good!  We also had some steamed broccoli and salad.  Lately, I’ve been loving topping my salads with 1 tsp of olive oil and a drizzle of agave syrup. Yummers!

Steamin' hot!

In the pasta:

As much cooked pasta as you want (I always use brown rice pasta)

Jarred or homemade pasta sauce

Trader Joe’s Soy Chorizo (OMG Yum!)

Method: Put in a pot and heat it up! The soy chorizo is the star in this meal.

After dinner I killed my sweet tooth (for now) with a Dove chocolate ❤

The wrapper says "Pack more than you need" I definitely like this saying! Will do!

Mmmmk there’s some laundry that desperately needs me to fold it so I gotta run!  I hope everyone has a great evening!

Question:  What’s your favorite type of pasta? Mine is probably lasagna (I think this counts as a type of pasta….)

  1. This week is flying … and that’s okay with me! 🙂 Bring on a relaxing, pampering weekend! The Banana sundae oats looks great! Truthfully I really don’t miss pasta and have not craved it in months.

I could have used that Dove chocolate message before leaving for spring break- I have NO clothes haha

I’m actually not in love with pasta. It’s alright…if I had to choose a favorite it would be rotini cuz it traps all the sauce 🙂

  3. i’ve never had real or soy chorizo!

  4. Karin says:

    Your oats look heavenly!
My favourite pasta.. I LOVE my mum’s homemade ravioli. It’s the best!

  5. I dont’ eat enough pasta. It made my stomach feel funky and full for a while so I’ve jsut been staying away from it recently (maybe I have a gluten allergy?!)

  6. Omg I love any type of pasta… Which is terrible! My favorite is pesto pasta. Yum! Love the idea of olive oil and agave… I’ll have to try that 🙂

  7. actorsdiet says:

  8. Simply Life says:

oh I love your oat mix!

  9. Jenny says:

Coconut in my oats is one of my favorite things!

My favorite pasta is spinach or whole grain fettucine… But the dishes have to have a ton of veggies in them to balance it out!
